Social Media Change

I believe that social media will always be with us. It will just keep constantly changing and adapting to the new technology that is developed. These days everyone is using social media tools no matter the age. I think that the basic letter is outdated and a slow form of communication compared to messaging a person through Facebook, Twitter or Skype. Skype has developed a way to communicate with someone where ever they are in the world. It has made a huge impact on the society from the way we get to communicate with each other. From this I think that in time, there will be new and even easier ways to stay in touch with people.

I hope that social media will still be for the purpose of good, and not transition into something that people will hate. I do enjoy many social sites because I get to see what my family and friends are up to and what is going on in the world. In the future, I think there will be more changes in the mobile aspect. Smartphones are being sold more frequently these days because of all the apps you are able to access. I think that they will develop more on the social sites to become more convenient to the smartphone user which will increase popularity on both markets. Therefore, technology will grow and people will find smarter and more efficient ways to communicate.

Social Media and the President

I do believe that social media will continue its role in advertising Obama’s campaign. Social media has become a huge part of today’s society with its growing popularity. The top social sites include Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. These sites have taken interests in many businesses, celebrities and now recently the President of the United States. They partner up with the social networks to advertise themselves and personally connect with the public.

I think that social media is not over hyped because people are interested in what everyone has to say. They enjoy knowing what Obama does with his spare time and the way he interacts with his fans. He has not only gained respect from America, but also from other countries around the world. His popularity has grown around the world because of his social media status. Overall, Obama has gained a strong amount of votes because he was the first President to successfully use social media to help his campaign. Through his rising popularity I believe this will help him win the 2012 election.

Blog #2

I think that social media has increased the quality of news because there are various social tools that allow you to easily access the latest information. But there are some negative aspects to this situation. Now a days people are able to post anything they want, anywhere they want. They have access to various blogs, websites and social tools to voice their opinions. But this doesn't mean that their information is always true. A website simply as Wikipedia can be easily edited with false information as long as that person has an account. It seems like to be a "journalist" these days you don't need to have a college diploma or university degree to be able to publish your opinions for the world to see. In the end, I do believe that social media can be good for the quantity of the news, but because of the public's input on everything, the information may not always be top quality.

Blog #1

I think social media is a huge aspect of the way people communicate these days. I do not think that it is just a fad. Each year more and more social media sites are being discovered such as Facebook and Twitter. Currently these are the two most popular social tools out there, and always find new ways to gain more attention from the public.

Social media sites itself may be the actual fad because there will always be new sites being discovered, but the idea itself will never fade. I think people are more interested in what goes on in other people's lives then their own, and through this social tool it enables the public to look first hand at personal photos, thoughts and feelings on certain situations. Celebrities have even picked up on this new trend and have created a new way to communicate with their fans, and with this has made those certain sites more popular and appealing to the public.

Another benefit social media has is that many companies and news networks have started using this tool to expand their business via Skype and Twitter that provides access about current ideas and events that effect today's society. Facebook is another social media site that I currently use. I personally like the idea of Facebook and I am a daily user of it. Through this tool you are able to reconnect with family members and past friends that you have lost touch with.

Overall, I believe that social media sites are not a fad and are a great way to connect with others. In the next few years I think that there will be a high demand in new sites because the public's needs and wants always change and they search for something more unique and interesting to catch their attention.
